Among prominent philosophers, there are two distinct viewpoints on time. One view is that time is part of the fundamental structure of the universe, a dimension in which events occur in sequence. Sir Isaac Newton subscribed to this realist view, and hence it is sometimes referred to as Newtonian time. The opposing view is that time does not refer to any kind of “container” that events and objects “move through”, nor to any entity that “flows”, but that it is instead part of a fundamental intellectual structure (together with space and number) within which humans sequence and compare events. This second view, in the tradition of Gottfried Leibniz and Immanuel Kant, holds that time is neither an event nor a thing, and thus is not itself measurable. – Wikipedia.

As I see it…no matter the viewpoint, or how anyone interprets it, its simply that period, or frames (as in a movie) between birth and death.

“Say, ‘For you the scheduled day, you could never request its delay not for a moment, nor could you you request its advancement”. (Q 34:30)

“And the God will not delay anyone his scheduled time, and the God is cognizant of everything one does.” (Q 63:11)

The ONLY thing given to any of us at our birth is – TIME. If one is to live to fifty years, that would be equivelant to 438,000 hours = 26,280,000 minutes. Half of that is spent on snoozing, dreaming and sleeping. The other half, well…mainly pre-occupied with – making money by cheating/slaving/killing others, and corrupting the Earth.

Recall…all those times you’ve been kept waiting, and you’ve kept others waiting? Then they (you too) come with a ‘sorry‘ for being late, or not coming at all. Worst is when those sorries are accompanied with pathetic excuses like – traffic jams, heavy rain, or ‘I forgot’.

Think. An appointment to meet at a sepecific time of ten o’clock is not 10:01, or 10:30. It is 10:00, and any digits or figures beyond that is NOT in keeping with the agreed time. That means you’d be OUT of agreement, and you’ve wasted someone’s life by x precious minutes. Period.

What’s the point of saying “I’m sorry“? Sorry for what? Sorry for taking away precious minutes out of my life? If sorry means giving back to me the loss of my life in the minutes lost, then I’d say OK, otherwise…don’t waste my life, so… go and fly kites!

Time waits for nobody, and so nobody should wait for anybody!

The next time you agree to meet someone at a specific time, be there ON TIME, or before. If you know you can’t keep the agreement, call it off and cancel the agreement,ie. way BEFORE the agreed time, and not AFTER!

Yesterday is dead and gone, and tommorow never comes. All you have is today…in fact ONLY ‘now‘.

“By the Time. Indeed the humans are in a loss. Except, those who are trustworthy and they do good, and they exhort one another with the Truth, and they exhort one another with patience.” (Q103)
